Shaklee Income Offers a Safety Net in Uncertain Times

Coordinator Stephanie Filardi, NY will always be glad her Shaklee business was there when she and her husband, Richard Itri, most needed it.

“My husband was laid off this summer. Since he has always been in the financial industry, I always wanted to have a business that would be there for us in case he ever got let go or burnt out. I decided to build my Shaklee business for this reason. I did not want us to have to rely on anyone else to maintain our quality of life. I began building my Shaklee business in 2006 as a plan B.

When Richard was laid off in June of this year, and we had large COBRA healthcare payments, I felt much better knowing I had a good Shaklee income coming in that would cover COBRA and then some. We were able to enjoy time together over the summer because we had extra income coming in with Shaklee. Richard did not have to rush back to work and we did not have to worry about bills piling up. Also, it re-affirmed for me that my Shaklee business is really there for us. And that I am my own boss. The more I work, the more I earn. It is that simple…and therefore refreshing.

For Richard, it helped him realize how fickle his industry really is and how it is just crazy not to have your own business. Now we are working as a team to build Shaklee. Richard and I see Shaklee as income for today and also for years to come, a business that we will one day leave to our children.”

Stephanie and husband Richard just returned from the Big Island of Hawaii, as two of Shaklee’s
